Zevo
Designing the world's first peer-to-peer EV sharing platform — where electric vehicle owners earn passive income by sharing contactlessly.
Overview
Zevo is the world’s first peer-to-peer EV sharing platform. EV owners earn passive income by sharing their vehicles with guests contactlessly — by the hour, day, or week — in this first-of-its-kind net zero sharing platform. The startup raised a pre-seed round of $2M+.
The Challenge
Building trust in a P2P vehicle sharing platform requires solving for both sides of the marketplace: owners need confidence their vehicles are safe, and guests need a seamless booking and unlocking experience. The contactless handoff was the key UX puzzle.
My Role
As lead UX/UI designer at Digihey (Zevo’s Croatian development partner), I worked as a full-stack designer responsible for all major UX/UI decisions:
- UX research
- UX designs and wireframes
- UI screens
- Prototyping
Design Approach
The platform was designed around trust and simplicity. The booking flow mirrors the ease of ride-hailing apps, while the contactless vehicle access system uses a clear step-by-step interface. Owner dashboards provide transparent earning insights and vehicle status monitoring.
Outcome
Zevo launched as a new category in sustainable mobility, enabling EV owners to monetize their vehicles during idle time while giving guests affordable access to electric transportation.
